Rudraksha Seed Mala: Our Rudraksha malas are made from a total of 108 pure Rudraksha beads. Rudraksha seeds are said to have curative and balancing qualities. The term "Rudraksha" has been derived from the combination of two Sanskrit words, "Rudra" meaning Lord Shiva and "Ashka" meaning tears. Based on Vedic and Buddhist traditions, the large bead on the mala represents the teacher or teachings, and is called the Meru Bead, named after the mystical mountain Meru. Also based on these same traditions, the Rudrashka beads are said to bring the wearer health, happiness and success, and to facilitate meditation. Each mala necklace contains 108 beads and are handcrafted by our value supply partners in Nepal.
